An Indiana animal shelter is hoping that someone will find it in their heart to give an overlooked dog a home. His name is Waylon and he has been sitting at the Humane Society for Hamilton County for more than a year.

On June 21, the shelter let Facebook followers know just how long Waylon has been in their care:

Waylon has been waiting 430 days…
430 days without someone to love
430 lonely nights spent in the shelter
430 days of people passing by and choosing another dog over him

And today, weeks after that post, Waylon continues to wait. According to the shelter, Waylon loves snuggles, treats and adventures, but he should be placed in a home with no cats or small dogs. Please share Waylon’s information – he has been waiting far too long for someone to love him.
