Middlebury, CT – A non-profit rescue organization in Middlebury is hoping that the public will step up to help the homeless dogs in their care. On Monday, the Brass City Rescue Alliance said that their doors were closing for “medical reasons,” and issued an urgent request for help.

The agency posted the plea on their social media page, writing:

It is with a heavy heart that we announce our doors are closing until further notice. Due to medical circumstances out of our control, we have no other choice and need to do what is best for the dogs. We expect to resume operations by May 1, 2023. We ask that you take a moment to remember that the most innocent and helpless among us are in desperate need for a home. This is an emergency plea for help.

According to the group, all of the dogs need to be adopted, or moved to a foster home, within a month. You can help by sharing this article and getting the word out to others. Find the dogs available for adoption at this link.
