No one knows how long this poor dog laid under a slab of cardboard weighed down with a rock. She was completely defenseless and frightened nearly to death. No one knows who covered her this way or why, but the temperatures in the Houston area had dipped very low, and all she could do was shiver.
Lola’s Lucky Day stepped up to help. The non profit group rescues homeless dogs in Houston and Dallas and then networks with rescues in Wisconsin to find them loving homes once they are healthy.
She probably was hit by a car. But how long ago? How long did she lay here confused why her legs were not working anymore. It was 34 degrees last night and if she was there all night, she just froze. She is tiny and can’t negotiate her body heat.

She has been named Chita, and has been transported to the group’s partner veterinarian where she is receiving life saving treatment.
