In Leggett, Texas, a neglected and abused Great Dane had been stuck in a nearby animal shelter with no name and no one looking for him. On Saturday, Save Rocky the Great Dane Rescue and Rehab aka Srgdrr reached out to help.

Just looking at his photos were enough to motivate social media animal lovers into sharing his desperate plight; the village came together to help with donations needed for his medical care and a foster home to keep him safe.

Heartbreaking photos showed this sweet boy to be 75 pounds underweight, very weak and not feeling well at all. He has been diagnosed with whipworms, skin issues and is currently receiving fluids to keep him hydrated.

By the late afternoon, the rescue organization announced a foster home had been procured, and the dog will be heading to his new life on Sunday morning. He will be separated in a quiet part of the home so that he can decompress from loud noises, other dogs and children while he recovers.
