Minka arrived at a Texas shelter fighting like a tiny warrior who wanted to live. The shelter administered intravenous fluids accompanied by injectable and oral antibiotics. She had been found by animal welfare officers as a stray – weighed only five pounds, was extremely emaciated, anemic, running a fever and had terrible teeth.

Check out the video being shared on social media asking for a rescue organization to rescue Minka:

SAVE MINKA Last night this video and plea for help went out – she is breaking my heart. She was found as a stray in this condition. She is only 5 pounds, extremely emaciated, dehydrated, anemic, terrible teeth and was running a fever. She arrived at the shelter on June 20 she has been fighting like a little warrior to live. The shelter had her on oral and injectable antibiotics and had some IV fluids! She needs a hero 🦸‍♀️ it read well Dallas DogRRR is her HERO she is picked up and heading to the vet now!! She is skin and bones 🦴 she weights 5 lbs should be about 20 lbs and she was not able to stand on her because she is so weak!!! It also appears that she might be blind as well. This poor girl found as a stray and then spent 5 days skating at the shelter waiting for her loved ones to come save her and they did not come. She is safe with Dallas DogRRR and on her way to the hospital for treatment!

Minka continues to fight for her life. On her most recent update, it still baffles veterinarians how she survived on the streets as a stray. She was not able to stand, she appears to be blind as well as ataxic. In addition she has a 4 – 5/6 heart murmur.

Her latest update does state she can stand but is still weak and knuckles onto the floor. She does seem to see shadows and also has some neurological symptoms which need more evaluation. Minka continues to be treated for anemia – her chemistry panel and cardiologist results are still pending.

No one is giving up; she sure could use some help.
