Dog’s look of absolute desperation makes rescuers work even harder

It’s not as if a day goes by that someone on social media doesn’t capture a photo of a desperate dog giving up on life. At the Mobile County Animal Shelter, a volunteer spotted Missy and posted that she was sure this young pup knew her life would soon be over.

Space is limited at the shelter, and Missy has been there for a month and seven days. It’s as if Missy knew she would not be granted anymore time to find a home; it seems to her as if no one cared about her anymore. She waited and waited for someone to stop in front of her kennel; maybe her tail wagged a little, but no one came back for her.

I can always tell when a dog has given up. And this dog, she doesn’t even care to come to the door. Because she knows it’s pointless.

Missy is being held at the Mobile County Animal Shelter. She passed into adoptions, and so she is dog friendly. She is heartworm negative. She probably need someone to give her the opportunity to love and be loved. Missy weighs 55 pounds, and her identification number is AID#A076033.

Following her plight today, a recent post and photo has just been shared. Please continue to share her until everyone is sure, and she is safely out of the shelter.

Update: quick pic, I’m here with her! They said she was committed to a rescue this morning. I’m waiting on a lady to get back from lunch to talk about how I can go about getting her. . . whether it be through the rescue or if I can take her home today. Pray for us you guys!!  I’m trying to get her home today!! Do yalls thing
