Rescue volunteers at Dallas Dog RRR-Rescue.Rehab.Reform stared at the photo of a chained and broken dog and promised the senior dog, they dubbed Justice, a new life. For his entire life, Justice lived his life chained and alone; on Sunday he was taken into custody and remains hospitalized.
On Wednesday, Justice remains hospitalized under 24/7 care. Both X-rays and blood work have been performed while he remains receiving both pain medication and antibiotics. He has been diagnosed with degenerative bone disease compounded with infections which have caused loss of his jaw bone. The good news is that Justice is eating.
Unfortunately, he suffers from kidney failure at this time – bringing his condition to be assessed as critical. Plans are currently being made to transfer Justice to a specialist in Dallas.
As for allegations of animal cruelty, the case is in the beginning stages of an investigation needed to make sure everything needed to move forward with cruelty charges has been carefully documented.
