The Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a suspect on Thursday believed to have stolen a car leading to the death of a woman’s disabled dog named Zorra.

According to 100+ Abandoned Dogs, Jephthe Francis, 19, faces 15 charges relative to last Thursday’s theft of an automobile from a parking lot; the charges include animal cruelty for the death of the wheelchair husky-shepherd. Surveillance video showed the dog’s owner, Wanda Ferrari park the car in a handicap spot and enter a store to purchase ice.

Francis can be seen approaching the car, opening the driver side door and driving away. The vehicle was found on Tuesday – Zorra was found deceased lying in the backseat.

  1. There is a special place in Hell just waiting for this POS and I hope the judicial system sees fit to let him live the rest of his life in the prison system. I can see no redemption for Jephthe Francis, he knew that poor dog was in that car and abandoned it leaving the dog to die! May he rot in jail and then go directly to Hell.
