Late last week, Annabelle’s owner dumped her at Miami-Dade Animal Services. What makes Annabelle’s surrender even more tragic is her age – 19-years-old. At the time of this sweet dog’s life when she needs her family the most, the 25-pound dog was thrown away as if she had been an old sofa, and it was time for a replacement.
Annabelle is a female, blue merle Catahoula Leopard Hound mix, and sadly the shelter is filled beyond capacity at this time. This is just no place for this sweet dog. Contact approved rescue organizations, friends, family and social media contacts. This girl’s plight is urgent.

Some may believe that fostering is just “too hard,” but the pay off is incredible! Spread the word, you can survive fostering, and save a life in the process! This beautiful design reads, “I survived loving a foster dog until a furever home was found” #Youcantoo

Happily, I think she has been rescued. Does anyone know for sure?
Annabelle was adopted by a family in Fort Meyers!! Apparently this was an extreme hoarding situation and there are still a number of animals in need of homes, over 90!!

thank you Malinda. I was wondering how I was going to sleep tonight worrying about Annebelle. My heart broke when I saw her story.
Annabelle was rescued! Over 90 dogs from a hoarding situation so there are others need help. You see the updates on Annabelle on the Urgent dogs and cats of miami facebook page, They have a search feature which is how I found the info on Annabelle’s freedom ride <3
