Innocent puppies dumped because they were hungry and killing chickens

Two innocent puppies huddle together at a rural shelter in Summerville, Georgia after having been surrendered by their owner. Little more than skin and bones, the pups had been killing chickens. Of course they were hungry and wanted to eat. Who can blame them?

Sadly there was more to the tragic story of these sweet, female puppies barely beginning their lives so hungry and so unlucky as to where they were born.

“Then she [the owner of the puppies] had the nerve to ask if she could adopt a kitten? Of course – they said no – you almost starved these two puppies – why would we let you have another one?”

The shelter is crowded, and these babies need rescue immediately. There is no place for them to go and boarding facilities are full. Sadly, these puppies can be euthanized at any time.

  1. I am sure this vile owner had enough weight on her and not wanting for food. Why not feed your dogs and there would be no more chicken killings by them (if they did it). Pray these sweet little girls find a loving home or homes.

  2. PLEASE HELP THIS 2 PUPPIES !!! THEY NOT DESERVES THIS HORRIBEL BEHAVING ???????????? IT MUST BE SOMEONE HOW CAN HELP !!! THEY NEED A HOME ! NOT BE MURDERED ???????? BIG HUGS FROM SWEDEN ❤❤❤❤❤

  3. Keep allowing backyard breeders/puppy mills to exist and this problem will get worse and worse and worse. MOST of our dumps in this country come from irresponsible breeders; 1) they can’t sell the rest of the pups from litters, they dump the COST and CARE on animal lovers and counties; 2) breeders lie to unsuspecting new pet owners about the ACTUAL care involved, including being LEGALLY responsible for shots, food, water, shelter. Want to resolve this? You all are GREAT at banding together on a host of other challenges, take that away from other activities for now and spend EVERYTHING you can getting laws changed to restrict or END backyard breeding/puppy mills. WE PAY FOR THEIR ARROGANCE AND SADISTIC NATURE TOWARD THESE ANIMALS. THAT OUGHT TO BE ENOUGH TO GALVANIZE TOGETHER AND FORCE CHANGE OR VOTE OUT THOSE WHO RESIST. Yes, it’s a hard battle, but what do you call this that you’re dealing with now.

  4. Some people have more hide than an elephant. How dare she ask for a kitten – I guess she figured a cat wouldn’t eat her chickens. It would eat anything if she starved it like she did these precious dogs. Thoughts and Prayers for the dogs to be rescued in time and find new furever homes where they will be loved and cared for just as they were born to deserve. I don’t suppose the woman will be charged with anything though.
