Shelter seeks help to find sweet, deaf dog a home

An animal shelter in Pennsylvania is hoping that someone will step forward and adopt a sweet, deaf dog who is in their care. On Sunday, the Pennyslvania SPCA reached out to the public regarding the dog, whose name is Bubba. The animal welfare agency explains how Bubba’s lack of hearing has impacted him at the shelter – they write:

The kennel is loud. People are walking through. The other dogs are barking.

But, Bubba is sound asleep. Our beautiful. 1-year-old Bubba is asleep because he doesn’t hear the chaos around him. Bubba is deaf…and it is deterring potential adopters.

And explaining how Bubba is already learning skills to be the best companion he can be:

Our team has been working with him on hand signals, and he is a fast learner. He is also still just a puppy and can get overly excited about the world.

Bubba’s adoption profile reads:

Affectionate, energetic, and an all round cutie pie. Bubba’s ears may not work as well as other dogs, but this does not stop him from living his best life! Going for walks, small car rides, or just laying on the couch snoring, Bubba is there. He knows he’s special, and is ready to rock this world in his furever home! He loves all kinds of people, even those small ones as long as they understand him. Other critters are a little confusing for him, but he would love to learn more!
