The Pittsburg Police Department in Pittsburg, California arrested two women on Thursday allegedly involved in a “disturbing” incident caught on video showing one of the women violently kicking a three-pound dog.

Police arrested Lagashia Williams and daughter Graciela Amar for several felonies after the video showed Williams confronting her mother’s neighbor and then allegedly telling her daughter to kick Albert Lope’s 2.8 pound pup, Gigi. The video, shared on social media, which quickly went viral, showed the women laughing after the tiny dog flew into the air and landed against a planter.
Police arrived at the home after a neighborhood argument. The women had already left, but an investigation began, and the women involved in the argument and subsequent kicking of the dog were asked to come forward and speak with authorities.
