In San Antonio, Texas, two stray dogs captured the heart of a kindhearted woman last Sunday as she stopped at the cemetery to leave flowers at her father’s gravesite. The friendly dogs quietly approached the woman and her family; they happened to have had food and water and generously shared it with the dogs.

The grateful dogs never left their sides after that and followed the family back to their vehicle as they were ready to leave.

i was absolutely heartbroken for leaving them, but we couldn’t bring them home.

And as they left, the kindhearted lady thought about the dogs all week; all the time reasoning with herself that is was fine where the dogs were and surely they were safe at the cemetery. But, as her compassion kicked in even deeper, Vira couldn’t forget about the two, and back she went hoping some kind soul had picked them up and were giving them homes.

Back she went.

The dogs spotted Vira’s car as soon as she pulled into the parking lot and ran over to greet her. This time she couldn’t leave them behind – and brought the dogs home to Austin.

And here we are now – Vira needs help finding these sweet dogs a home. The two bonded pups need everyone’s help.

i’d love to find a home for this adorable duo. One female 1-2 years old (44lbs) and one male about a year old and 13 lbs. Totally bonded. Super sweet, loving and well behaved.

The dogs will be receiving all needed vaccinations, cared for and place on heartworm and flea preventatives. Vira has even offered to financially help get the dogs spayed and neutered.

i know this is not an easy ask, and those of you that know us, know that we would totally take them in if we could. We just can’t right now even though it pains us to say no.
