At the Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelter in Branford, Connecticut, Biggie desperately needs to find someone he can love and finally go home. He’s delightfully goofy and sweet, but he always gets overlooked.
On Friday, a family arrived at the shelter and told the staff they were looking for a “happy go lucky pit bull” and oh my – this was the overall description of Biggie! They said yes, but when they saw Biggie, they said his “ears are scary looking.”
Biggie continues to be overlooked… he’s too big, I don’t like his color, the list goes on and on .

Biggie doesn’t look in the mirror much and has no idea he’s supposedly scary looking. All this five year old pup wants is to be loved. He has been in the shelter for 210 days – just dreaming of having a family and not knowing why no one wants him.
Biggie is such a sweet guy with a happy personality. He did well in the cat room and enjoys pack walking with dogs too. He’s a big guy, weighing in at 80 pounds, so probably no little kids because he might knock them over .
Biggie is getting depressed now and doesn’t get up when you go back into the dog room. His advocates are really hoping to find someone to put the waggle back into him. His favorite pastime is finding squeakers in toys, but he also loves going for pup cups, eating snacks, hiking at times and just cuddling.
