On Saturday, an off-duty San Antonio police officer accidentally shot and killed his police K-9 while firing at his neighbor’s dogs.
According to the Fort Worth Star Telegram, the 16-year veteran police officer and K-9 handler, told other officers who had been dispatched after a reported shooting, that he was trying to protect his K-9 against another dog attack. Three dogs that belonged to the neighbor had allegedly broken through a wooden fence separating the properties and attacked the K9 officer.
The handler tried to separate the dogs, and when he wasn’t successful, he opened fire shooting the neighbor’s dogs and his own.
two of the attacking dogs were struck by gunfire. The K9 was also hit. The complainant transported his k9 immediately to a vet clinic where it succumbed to its injuries.
The neighbor has since been cited for violations. The owners of the dogs had been home, but were too late to intervene by the time they heard the shots and knew what was transpiring. The couple claims their dogs were just playing, and that one of their dogs died and another is still being treated at the veterinarian hospital.
my dogs are house dogs, my dogs aren’t fighting dogs; they’re not outside dogs…”
The officer involved in this tragic situation has been placed on administrative duty while an investigation is underway by Internal Affairs as well as by the department’s Shooting Team.

Why shoot when a hose spraying water should separate the dogs??? It always works for our family and no one is “killed or injured”………..
TEXAS, this IS what EVERYONE in our EXPECTS from these savages. They think it’s a compliment that women are dying and going sterile because Abbott and Paxton decided that women don’t DESERVE ACTUAL HEALTH CARE THAT SAVES LIVES. Only their disgusting penis does. Excuse me, I need to vomit.
