Two 12-year-old bonded seniors, whose owner became homeless, are hoping someone will meet them, fall in love and bring them home to fluffy beds and lots of love. Of course, Neeno and Bella are lost without their human, and now they are hugging each other at the Maricopa County Animal Care & Control, and hoping to share their love with a new family and each other again.

Neeno, the pittie mix knows basic commands, and Bella, the Chihuahua does fine with larger dogs. Both have been described by the staff and volunteers at the shelter as friendly and affectionate. In the best day, it is hoped these two sweethearts can stay together.

Many people have been asking about the dogs’ behaviors and habits at the shelter. It seems these two enjoy sleeping most of the day and enjoy lazing around the most. When awake, Bella enjoys climbing Neemo Mountain (see headline photo).

Sadly, the two have had only one meet and greet family come to the shelter, but it is hoped potential adopters will come this week. You can help by sharing their over the top adorable photos and this article to attract the perfect family for Neemo and Bella.

Comments about Neeno:

Information about the Maricopa County Animal Care.

126 more stray animals came in from Friday to Sunday, including two puppy litters. This bring our total animal 857 population at East, West and Heidi’s Village.

If any of these dogs are yours, please come to our West shelter at 2500 S 27th Ave. in Phoenix to pick them up. We are open from 12-6 today.

Dogs who are found without a microchip are placed on a 72-hour stray hold in the event their owner comes to pick them up. After that time, they are placed up for adoption following a behavioral and medical evaluation and will be featured here: https://apps.pets.maricopa.gov/adoptpets/
