It was at the Stockton, California home of Pablo Meza that his surveillance video caught a woman driving up to his home on Tuesday and dumping an eight-week-old puppy over a fence and into the family’s front yard. The woman then drove away.

The family’s home surveillance system captured the exact moments as the car pulled up, a person got out of the vehicle holding a black and white small dog and then leaned over the fence and dropped the dog into the yard.

I received a text message from my neighbor saying one of my puppies wanted to get out of the gate.

It turned out it wasn’t one of the family’s dogs at all.

According to CbsNews, Meza’s heart was just broken witnessing the callousness of the person doing such a heartless deed to a defenseless puppy. Meza had found the puppy in his yard when he arrived home. The puppy was very hungry, but this was indeed to become the luckiest day of this tiny little pooch’s life.

The pup is now named “Oreo” – a named picked out by Meza’s daughter, who instantly fell in love with the puppy. They took the puppy to the veterinarian where they discovered Oreo did not have a microchip and would need a home.
