Somedays no matter how much someone expects smooth sailing at a local animal shelter when the sweetest dog in the world has been adopted, without warning the world just flips upside down, and all is askew. Kid friendly and gentle, Carter was all packed up, carrying his adoption papers and treats; it was Monday and he was on his way to his new home. Carter looked forward to living “happily ever after” with his new family.
In less than 24 hours, Carter was back at the shelter. The reason for his return?
He cried to be in the young child’s bedroom and woke the baby. They said he was gentle with the kids.

More than likely, Carter wasn’t given enough time to adjust to a home. After all, he is not a robot nor is he a play toy one can just turn off at the children’s bedtime, but nevertheless, the focus is on helping Carter to find a home.
