At the Columbus Animal Care and Control Center in Columbus, Georgia, Francie is breaking everyone’s heart. This older, chunky bundle of sweetness doesn’t belong in a shelter; her picture is worth a thousand words.
According to the shelter, Francie entered the shelter on a “police hold” with four other dogs. That description can mean many things, but most importantly it gives the owners of the dogs some extra time to make arrangements for their pets. Sadly, Francie’s 10-day temporary hold has now expired, and she will not be reunited with her former owners; she is available for adoption.
Francie is about six-years-old and weighs 70 pounds. She is friendly to other dogs and would love to meet and be adopted by a new family.
someone come save this sweet old gal. She is absolutely precious and even does her best to ‘hold it’ and not potty in her kennel, which means she is likely house trained or will catch on super quick.

UPDATE: Francie was saved by Animal SOS today and she is settling into her foster home. Sharing her story proves how this sweetheart went from the top of the euthanasia list to top of the spoiled dog list today.
