Jet has been adopted, and this little guy has Paul McCartney and his wife, Nancy Shevell as his new “furrever” family. The new addition posed with his humans on Instagram.

McCartney, 81, and Nancy looked straight at the camera and so did Jet! There were lots of comments from people and seeing these guys adopting a shelter pet, sure makes a positive statement for adoption.
Paul has been a passionate animal rights activist who has actively campaigned against animal cruelty for decades. In 2021, to mark America’s Love Your Pet Day, the couple adopted Rose. On their Instagram page, they wrote:

Rescuing a pet saves homeless animals from euthanasia, helps to show the public what a positive experience adopting a shelter can be and reminds us that these beautiful pets deserve loving homes. Now when Jet hit the doggy jackpot, well chances are he will soon be enjoying a song or two.
In the United States, six to eight million cats and dogs enter shelters every year. Tragically, almost three million of these healthy, adoptable pets are euthanized because of overcrowding. Approximately 25% of dogs in shelters are purebreds. Sadly, the main reasons pets wind up in shelter are owner surrenders or stray pets found wandering on the streets.
Please get your pet spayed/ and or neutered. Please make sure you are able to make a life long commitment to a pet before bringing him/her home.
