Meet Hope; she’s barely four-months-old, and her heartbreaking photo brings many rescuers to tears. She is currently impounded at the San Bernardino City Shelter and has been given until September 3, 2022 to be rescued. Hope is so frightened, she tried so hard to shrink herself down to crawl under her bed. One can only shudder at the cruelty she must have endured during her short life thus far.

According to the San Bernardino City Shelter, the puppy arrived very undernourished and is full of worms. Treatment for the worms has been started, and the puppy will be receiving extra food.

Before the puppy can be freed from the shelter, a signed foster agreement must be submitted. A “rescue partner” only can claim the puppy because of her health.

From the shelter:

Message from the shelter:

She is only 4 months old. Extremely malnourished. Very emaciated and full of worms. Deworming today. She will be received extra feedings. We need a signed foster agreement BEFORE we can confirm pull request by a board member.
