Fishers, Indiana – An urgent plea for an adopter has been made by staff at the Humane Society for Hamilton County. The shelter took in a 17-year-old Labrador retriever, named Mackenzie, was surrendered because her owner fell ill. On Monday afternoon, the shelter posted the plea to Facebook, writing:

URGENT: ADOPTER NEEDED⏳
Our sweet, frosted-face Mackenzie is in urgent need of a home to live out her best days.

Adding:

Mackenzie has known no other life than a soft bed, a quiet place, and a human of her own.
Mackenzie is not asking for much. She has an easy-going Labrador Retriever personality, knows all of her house manners, and is good with kids, cats, and dogs. November is Adopt a Senior Pet Month. Don’t let her last days be within these four walls, scared and alone. ❤️‍🩹

For just $35, you can adopt this sweet old girl. Apply here.
