If you believe your pooch could be your “soul in dog form” then this story about Baylee is for you. In Memphis, Tennessee, TikTok user@torimarkle recounts a story accompanied by a video with the most heartwarming music about a dog who got a second chance in life despite a sad prognosis.
The video has garnered more than 7.3 million views and begins with Baylee being left behind at an animal clinic to be euthanized because he had heartworms. It was soon to be Baylee’s incredible stroke of luck to have met Tori Markle, a vet tech at the clinic. And so Markle took Baylee home that night where he met Tori’s other dog. The healing began as did the bond between Tori and Baylee.
At night he slept with his favorite human, and when she went to work, Baylee patiently waited for her return. Since their first Christmas together, they have shared five more trips around the sun. And from the looks of the video, there are going to be a lot more birthdays. Playtime sure seems to be the best part of the day.
