A $1,000 reward is being offered for information regarding a deceased dog, inside of a metal cage, who was thrown out of the back of a truck by a man in Lexington, Kentucky. The Lexington–Fayette Animal Care and Control agency stated:

We are looking for information regarding a deceased dog that was found in a crate behind businesses on Russell Cave Road. The dog was dumped on March 17th at 5:52 AM.

The agency posted an image of the deceased dog, who appears to have starved to death. The brown dog is clearly malnourished, with no visible sign of body fat or muscle.

Bluegrass Crimestoppers is offering the $1,000 reward for information leading to the identification, arrest, and conviction of the person responsible for this dog’s death. The man shown in the animal-welfare agency’s video can be seen driving a red truck, and he is wearing a mask, stocking cap, baggy light-colored shirt, and camo pants.

Wanted man

Anyone with information is asked to reach out to make a report. The agency said:

If you have any information about the animal or the person shown in the video below, please contact our Cruelty Investigator at 859-255-9033 extension 229.
