Anyone who tries to tell a doggo parent that their spoiled, albeit beloved pet can’t muster up human kind of feelings when unhappy, distressed or just plain jealous, probably never had a dog. Mango, a miniature dachshund, who lives with his family in London, United Kingdom, didn’t take to the idea of a new puppy in the house, and the video of the two went viral.

Meet Lemon – a puppy who loves everyone and seemed to be quite enthusiastic when meeting Mango. As Lemon crawled up to the sofa where Mango had been napping peacefully, he turned around and spotted the lively puppy behind him. And as he turned away from the newcomer, guess what? Of course, in all puppy happiness and thinking that this would be a new fun experience, Lemon jumped on Mango. Needless to say, and watch the older dog’s eyes, Mango was not impressed.

He’s gonna love him soon, right?

According to Newsweek, Lemon just arrived four days earlier, and the owner said when the two dogs met and greeted each other, it seemed to be going well.

For some dogs who have always been the king of the palace, a new puppy might seem to be an unwelcome intrusion into their own “personal space,” but there are some reliable suggestions that might make the transition from one pet to another pet in the home easier. Introduce the older dog to the puppy in a neutral environment – ride home in separate crates, meet in the backyard and then walk inside of the home all together.

And then we all know how puppies just love to play. Some of our older canine pals may not appreciate the energetic antics of puppies, so gauge the dogs carefully and help each of them to have their own boundaries when it comes to playtime.

Let’s hope Mango and Lemon become close friends.

The video has garnered more than two million views, so we are quite sure Mango and Lemon aren’t the only two dogs having some issues while easing into becoming roomies.
