Robert Brantley, who lives in Louisiana, had been on his way to the nearby shooting range on Tuesday when he spotted a stray kitten on the side of the road and stopped to “rescue” the defenseless little one.
According to Brantley’s Instagram account, he thought that the tiny kitten wouldn’t have survived the night out by itself, and in addition, his wife had been wanting a cat for the farm. And so the good natured and kind guy stopped to pick the adorable feline up and put her in his vehicle.
He called the kitty over to him telling her she was bound to be hit on the road, and as she timidly approached, he scooped her up in one hand. Strangely enough, as he videoed the rescue, he was “ambushed by a mob” of 12 more kittens.
As all of the kittens circled around Brantley and his vehicle, he put the 13 kittens into his car and decided to bring them all home, take care of them and find them homes.
Getting all 13 into his car sure did pose a challenge to Brantley’s normal routine:

I’ve been getting tons of messages and comments about getting the kittens home. I was loaded down from a range trip when I was ambushed. So here is the video of them all in. I wish I would have been in my truck but I was stuck in the gas saver. This model didn’t come with the kitten box either. I couldn’t keep up with them as I would throw one in and 2 would jump out. So I had to close the door with the window down and funnel em in. That would have been good footage actually. As soon as I got home got them out! Thank you to all those offering to help. Working on getting them all a good home! The kids are loving on them in the meantime and we’re fattening them up!

So glad you found more info and video’s. What a kind heart this man has and the kittens are in very good hands. Hot Diggity Dog he saved them all. He’s also feeding a momma beagle dog who has puppies hidden that were also dumped in the same area as the kittens. He has to wait till she leads him to the puppies.
