In Cocoa Beach, Florida, the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office arrested Scott Hoffman on Thursday after deputies obtained video of the man repeatedly kicking a dog. Hoffman, 39, was seen kicking the dog named Atlas.
An eyewitness stated he saw Hoffman kicking the dog at least two times and did not believe the dog had been acting aggressively at all. Deputies who interviewed Hoffman at his home stated “he kicked his dog” and that “he should not have done that.” He was charged with one count of animal cruelty.
Hoffman has since been released from the Broward County Jail after posting a $500 bond. He is scheduled to appear in court in January.
