Young puppy stolen during violent home invasion

Washington D.C. – A young puppy is missing following a violent home invasion in Washington D.C. According to the Metropolitan Police Department, the intruders forced their way into an occupied residence in the 100 block of Irvington Street, Southwest on the evening of December 15.

The authorities said:

Once inside, the suspects brandished a handgun, assaulted the victim, took the victim’s dog and property then fled the scene.

Describing the puppy who was taken:

The dog, named “Deemo”, is described as a 5-week-old male American Bulldog puppy, who is brown with grey eczema patches.

The photo provided in the police news release is of a puppy who looks similar to Deemo.

Anyone who can identify these individuals or who has knowledge of this incident should take no action but call police at (202) 727-9099 or text your tip to the Department’s TEXT TIP LINE at 50411. The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a violent crime committed in the District of Columbia.
