In a heartbreaking discovery, an emaciated French bulldog was found by the Beacon Falls Department of Transportation sitting on the side of Route 18 just before Exit 26.

The discovery was made on November 9, and the male, black French bulldog mix was wearing a black collar. According to the Naugatuck Animal Control, the dog was in deplorable condition and was immediately sent for emergency treatment at the organization’s veterinarian. Now dubbed Creed, the dog suffers from severe skin, yeast and ear infections. His body score was rated 0/1 out of a possible 5. Creed is also very anemic and continues receiving treatment.

Creed quickly became one of the favorites, and despite the neglect and mistreatment he must have undergone, the adorable pup remains happy and very silly.

Creed has since joined Westley’s Wish K9 Rescue. The rescue posted the following details about this little guy:

1. Creed is in a foster home, he is no longer at animal control and he is not at a shelter… He is comfortable, warm, fed, & extremely well cared for and loved…

2. He is not moving until he is 100% ready to be adopted, we are very grateful for all the offers but we need to have full access to get him back & forth when he needs follow up vet visits…

3. We are a small rescue & we have no affiliation with anyone else, if another organization is asking for donations for Creed they are not going towards his care…

4. We do not have any fundraiser outsourced for hoodies with our Logo on them… If we have hoodies (which we do not, we sold out when we were raising funds for Caden, you can find his posted pinned if you would like to learn a little about him) we sell them only on our FB page or website and we send them from our house to yours…

5. He is not going to be available for adoption until he has gained weight, infections have cleared up, he has gone to the cardiologist, & has been neutered… it will be a few months… We will definitely announce when we will be taking applications…
