A dog described as the “bestest boy” by the Pennsylvania SPCA continues to wait for someone to find him worthy of their love. On Tuesday, the animal welfare agency posted a photo of the dog, whose name is Benjamin, and explained how long he has been waiting:

Benjamin arrived into our care in September of 2021. He has never been adopted. He came to us from hurricane-ravaged Louisiana. He has been waiting all this time for a family to come along. But, no one came.

Benjamin had to have surgery on what the shelter calls a “bum leg,” and when he went to a foster home to recuperate, he “kept getting beat up” by the family’s cat and he had to come back to the shelter.

Benjamin is reported to be good with other dogs, and he could live with cats (if they won’t hurt him!), and the shelter states that he “loves his people.” Someone out there would be perfect for this overlooked pup – will you please help him find that person?
