Update: Ruckus has rescue commitment!

Vance County, NC – A 15-year-old dog, who was surrendered by her owner who said that the dog was “old and has fleas,” is on death row. The elderly, mixed breed dog named Ruckus is said to be “mellow and sweet,” but confused by her new surroundings.

On Monday morning, the Ruin Creek Animal Protection Society of Henderson, NC, Facebook page stated:

Ruckus is at the Vance County shelter. We are the networking group for the shelter. Her hold is up 9/28/22 and is in danger of being euthanized any time if the shelter is over capacity.

This poor old girl is at the mercy of space constraints at the Vance County shelter. And she is in this sad situation because of her cold-hearted former owner who cast her aside when she needed them the most.

How can you help? Network her information! Time is of the essence.

Ruin Creek Animal Protection Society said:

All adoptions are handled directly by the Vance County shelter. If you are a 501c3 rescue interested in pulling her, email us at [email protected]
