A baby alligator made its way into a Wesley Chapel home on Sunday and decided to hide and hang out until the strong thunderstorms passed. Homeowner Erika Venza was amused, concerned and a bit frightened with the reptile’s presence in her kitchen and called her neighbor to help persuade the one-foot gator to “get lost.”
As the gator hissed at the women, they stood on top of the kitchen counter, the table and the chairs. And so women being both the fairer sex and very ingenious used a Swiffer mop and some loud yelling to convince the gator this wouldn’t be its Airbnb for long.
Sazan Powers videoed the entire encounter on her Facebook page while viewers offered their advice how to convince the little guy to exit without hurting it.
“Keep going. Come on dude, keep going. The door is right there,” Sazan stated in the video. “Bye Bro. Thanks for hanging out.”
Perhaps the funniest comment on Facebook from one viewer:
“Better get him out before mama comes…”
Keep in mind Floridians and those in the southern areas where alligators hang out, this is the mating season, so be careful. Baby gators can be quite aggressive too.
Check out the video. No gators or people were harmed during its filming:
