UPDATE: ADOPTED!

At Friends of Kansas City, Kansas Animal Services, Rebel had the greatest day at an adoption event at PetSmart on Saturday. He played perfectly with all the other dogs, gave kisses to all the humans and loved the attention – but at the end of the day, as all the other dogs left with their new families, Rebel was left behind; there were no adoption offers for him at all.

“Rebel loved his day at PetSmart today, but telling him it was time to go back was sad. He just looked at me like ‘why doesn’t anyone want me?'”

Rebel is three-years-old and weighs 51 pounds. He is neutered, up-to-date on all of his vaccinations, microchipped, heartworm negative and dewormed. His advocates describe him as being friendly with other dogs, plays like a “bouncing bunny” and is even good with cats. He loves everyone he meets, and true he needs some training to teach him it is not acceptable to jump on everyone he meets, but he is very treat oriented and eager to learn. In addition, Rebel loves toys, is leash trained and keeps his kennel clean. Doesn’t he seem perfect?

Meet Rebel (AO24666)

“Rebel is a super cute 3 year old Pit Bull. He’s very friendly and fun. He loves people and gets along great with other dogs. And he’s a cuddler!. Rebel loves to run and play in the yard and he likes toys. He’s athletic and bouncy. We thought he’d love to run around on the wooden jungle gym, but he was scared of the stairs! After some coaxing, Rebel climbed the stairs– and then was so proud of himself! He’s a cutie! Rebel weighs 51 lbs.”
