In Eureka, California, a 15-year-old dog had been trapped in a car for days after his owner died. A Good Samaritan spotted the dog after noticing the vehicle had been abandoned on the side of the road.
According to the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office, after the woman called, a deputy was dispatched to the scene and soon discovered that the owner of the vehicle had died leaving his dog, Banks in the vehicle.
“The Humboldt County Animal Shelter was able to locate Banks’ next of kin, who live out of the area. Banks’ relatives told us that he is approximately 15-years-old and they requested that we find him a nice home to spend his golden years here in Humboldt.”
The shelter assistant Jeannette remembered someone who had asked to adopt a senior dog and contacted the Six Rivers Brewery – it was “love at first sight.”
And isn’t this the way we make happy endings? Congratulations to everyone involved in giving Banks’ a new loving home.
