Frightened dog reached out for help with front paws when back legs get stuck in sticky tar

It had been the amazing rescue of a frightened dog in Ecuador, that had reached out to onlookers with his front paws as he struggled to escape from sticky tar; his back legs had been stuck, making his escape impossible.

In a viral video, recorded by local resident Alex Pila, the dog is seen reaching out towards the nearby humans as if begging for help. According to Storyful, both first responders and soft hearted people standing by jumped into the water to help the dog.

The men placed metal sheeting across the tar helping them reach the dog without sinking into the tar themselves.

As can be seen by the video, the rescuers slowly lifted the dog’s hind legs from the tar. The moment they freed both legs, three people joined together to carry the dog safely to the shore.

The kindness shown by complete strangers trying their best to rescue a dog in need is indeed heartwarming. Check out the video:

Angels don’t always have wings. Many thanks to everyone involved. Many thanks to Storyful for sharing this story.
