At the Maricopa County Animal Care & Control – West Valley Animal Care Center in Phoenix, Arizona, Luna’s family never come forward. Dyed pink, the Siberian husky was found wandering alone on Olive Avenue near the White Tank Mountain Regional Park.
Of course, Luna wasn’t like one of the typical stray pups found roaming alone in an Arizona park. She looked quite healthy, her pink coat seemed to have been done professionally, and she was microchipped.

The shelter tried to contact the owners via phone calls, text and letters. The groomer who recognized the dog reached out to the shelter to provide information, but sadly, there were never any responses.
Luna captured hearts; she was perfectly behaved, very smart and knew her basic commands to shake, down and wait at the door before leaving for her walk. Luna did well in the shelter; didn’t seem to stress from the strange environment and all the noises in the unfamiliar place.
After five days of no one showing up, the shelter placed her up for adoption. And in order to raise interest for this sweet senior to help her find a home, the shelter posted a video. Just days later Luna was adopted.

her adopted even came in wearing bright pink shoes to match her!
