In Clearwater, Florida, the Clearwater Police Department arrested La’Myah Rumph, 19, on Thursday after she allegedly lost her temper when her five-month-old puppy defecated on her bed.

According to WtspNews, police had responded to a disturbance report at an apartment near Alpine Road, where they found Rumph in the apartment with a small dog cowering in its crate. The woman told police the dog defecating on her bed had made her very angry. She has been accused of choking and hitting the puppy; and if that wasn’t cruel enough, in a rage threw pickle juice and hot sauce over the defenseless pooch.

When officers arrived, the puppy could not stand or put weight on one of his hind legs. The officer described the pit bull puppy as “trembling, shaking, upset and visibly distraught.”

The puppy is under the care of the Pinellas County Animal Control and is being treated by a partner veterinarian. We are awaiting updates on his condition.

Rumph faces charges of animal cruelty. Her bond was set at $5,000.
