Heartbreaking: Pup refuses to walk back to his kennel at shelter

At the Humane Society for Hamilton County (Indiana), volunteers and staff are asking for the public’s help sharing Beau’s heartbreaking story. The young Great Pyrenees mix wants to be in a home; not in a shelter cage. And this one-and-a-half-year-old boy is serious!

Beau’s photo shows the infamous “sploot” which is slang for the pose a dog makes when he lies on his stomach with his hind legs stretched out behind him. The staff tells us it takes an entire team to get him back inside.

We all think Beau just needs some social media time, and somewhere out there his perfect “person” is just waiting. Beau loves other dogs, does well with children and even does fine with cats.
