Bentley had been missing from his home for three years, and thanks to Animal Care & Control of Philadelphia,(ACCT Philly) the pup from Memphis, Tennessee has been reunited with his late owner’s sister Dee.
According to ACCT Philly, Facebook page, Bentley had been found wondering the streets of Philadelphia with another dog in May. Upon scanning his microchip and reaching out to the primary contact listed, it had been the dog’s owner’s sister who responded to the call.
When the rescue organization staff informed Dee they had found Bentley and picked him up as a stray, Dee was filled with emotions. During the call, she explained her sister had passed away from cancer in Memphis, and the family had been looking for their missing dog for more than three years.
Dee had no hesitation wanting to be reunited with Bentley; the dog was all she had left of her sister. Everyone just had to figure out how to get Bentley home, and for the last 20 days everyone had been reaching out for transport back to Memphis.
Last week we were able to connect witWhiskers, Tails & Scales Transportrt on 5/28, Bentley was transported to Tennessee, and yesterday, he was reunited with Dee who was overjoyed to be reunited. Watch the video below of the heartwarming reunion.

Spoke with Dee this morning. Dee and Bentley are doing great!!! Her supervisor is allowing Bentley to come to work with her. (Her boss also rescues animals that he finds in the street and gives them a home) Bentley is on the job today and she has a little area set up just for him but he likes laying right at her feet.
I learned, Bentley is actually deaf. (Which explains a lot) Dee stated: he goes off of vibration, her late sister got him a hearing aid (that is no longer in his ear) and he knows basic sign language commands. Truly an amazing reunion story
