In Smyrna, Georgia, the Cobb County police have issued a warrant for the arrest of James Moses, 33, after a Ring doorbell video caught the man hurling a small dog against the ceiling in the hallway of the Elevate West Village Apartments.

According to Yahoo News, Cobb County Animal Services director Steve Hammond was shocked after watching the disturbing video which has gone viral on social media. The suspect is shown throwing a four-year-old terrier mix named Smokie from the floor to the ceiling. The owner of Smokie told news media she was devastated, as Moses had been her boyfriend and had been in charge of caring for her dog.

Moses faces charges of aggravated animal cruelty. Smokey is currently at the owner’s veterinarian being evaluated, but the dog does not show to have any injuries.

Police have not located Moses yet, and encourage the public to help report his location or to encourage him to turn himself in to authorities.
