Woman made terrifying discovery of tarantula in her suitcase after Cypress vacation

Imagine the surprise, or the outright terror, when a woman who just returned to Great Britain from her vacation in Cypress to find a tarantula in her suitcase as she unpacked? In a TikTok video uploaded by @Georgiahsx, Georgia Sinclair is seen calling the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA).

Hi RSPCA. I think I may have brought a tarantula in my suitcase home with me from Cypress.

The video showed a rather large tarantula climbing atop a pile of clothes in a suitcase. It is then seen disappearing behind an appliance.

The video has garnered nearly a million views and thousands of comments. Surprisingly, tarantulas have a lifespan from 15 to 25 years, and although they may give one the creeps with their hairy bodies, legs that go on forever and rather bulgy eyes, they are harmless to humans (save a painful bite) as their venom is weaker than that of a bee. They are popular pets too.

And as far as the fear factor, spiders come in third – topped by fear of snakes and of heights.
