Gardena, CA – A stunningly handsome German shepherd is missing his family…the family who never came to the Carson Animal Services facility to retrieve him. The four-year-old dog, Dixon, was brought to the facility on August 26 by two good Samaritans who stopped to help when they found him. According to the people who found him, he readily jumped into their car when they stopped.

At the facility, he was scanned for a microchip, and one was found. Staff was hopeful that his family would quickly come to pick him up…but it is now December and nobody came to save Dixon.

The original Facebook post for Dixon reads:

This guy is gorgeous, he is super friendly and he was found by some good Samaritans near Wilmington and Carson Street. He jumped right in their car. He came in With a chip so hopefully his family will come for him quickly, he is calling out for them and missing them terribly. Please share, his family never came and he needs help fast.

It goes without saying…Dixon misses his family, and he is heartbroken that he is locked away in a kennel run, away from everything that he ever knew and loved. Please help this beautiful boy find a new, committed family! Networking saves lives.
