Devore, California – On October 6, a Belgian malinois dubbed Danny was picked up as a stray and taken to the San Bernardino County – Devore Shelter. Danny had deep wounds around his neck that were caused by a rope that had kept him tethered somewhere…somewhere that he managed to break free from.
Danny now how food, clean water, and shelter, but he is not safe. In fact, Danny is on the so-called “kill list,” and he has been labeled “rescue only” because he is not presenting himself well at the shelter. According to shelter notes, Danny has been “barking and growling,” at the facility.
Less than a week ago, a Devore shelter networking Facebook page wrote:
Danny was brought in with a deep wound on his neck from rope tied around his neck that has probably been there since he was smaller. Why do people do this to dogs? It’s pure evil. It should also be an indication of what kind of life he’s lived up to now.
Danny needs help. A committed foster offer & rescue interest is what he needs. Without both of these things, he will be killed. That cannot happen. Please help Danny!
Danny is unaltered and was found with injuries to his neck from a rope that was left there as he grew. It is easy to see that his life has been hard and that he deserves the chance to be shown kindness and love.
