A senior dog, estimated to be 10 years of age, was picked up as a stray and taken to the San Antonio Animal Services facility in Texas. Unfortunately, nobody came to the shelter facility to claim the dog as his own and now he is at risk of being put down.

On Thursday, the SAPA Urgents & Adoptables Facebook page said:

633319 Solo Vino is a male who is around 10 years old, weighs 54 lbs, and is heartworm positive.
TO ADOPT, FOSTER, OR RESCUE Please Email: [email protected]
THIS DOG IS IN ACS KENNELS & AT RISK OF BEING KILLED. SHELTER EVALUATES SPACE AT: 9:30am Mon-Sat, and again at 5pm Mon-Fri & 3pm Sat, or at any time as space is needed.

But will anyone care about a senior dog with heartworms? Or is he just another unwanted dog who will silently disappear after someone walks him to the back room of the facility where his life will be ended without fanfare?

You can help Solo Vino have a chance to live out the remainder of his life by sharing his adoption information.
