A Union County, South Carolina, man has been arrested and charged for screwing a puppy to the bathroom door of his residence. As reported by Fox Carolina, police arrested Tyler Austin Jerdo after discovering the pup barricaded in a bathroom with two of its paws screwed to the door.
Deputies were able to unscrew one of the paws, but the other screw could not be removed and the paw had to be pulled off. The puppy did survive and was taken to an area animal hospital for care.
Jerdo resisted arrest – headbutting a deputy and escaping at one point from the patrol vehicle. Jerdo is facing multiple charges, including ill-treatment of animals, resisting arrest, and possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.
