Mohawk, NY – A friendly dog named Muttley is falling deeper and deeper into depression at the Herkimer County Humane Society. The two-year-old dog is friendly, housebroken, and good with other dogs, but all of his glowing attributes are apparently lost on potential adopters who completely ignore him.

The staff at the animal shelter is hopeful that Muttley’s adoption day is coming soon, writing:

Every morning the shelter staff comes in and sees this face as we walk into the kennels. We tell Muttley every morning “we are hoping today’s the day baby boy!”

Adding words of frustration for the dog that is virtually invisible to those who visit the shelter:

We feel like we are failing Muttley because as much as we try to get him a home not a single person asks about him.

The organization is begging for help on Muttley’s behalf – hoping against hope that someone will take a chance on him and help mend his broken heart:

We are hoping one day we can tell Muttley “today’s the day!” We are begging you to help share Muttley. He needs a hero soon. This boy is so sad. 😔

According to Muttley’s adoption profile, he is one of the most well-behaved dogs at the shelter! Please share his information and help him find his happily-ever-after.
