A father and his daughter from Sarasota County, Florida have been arrested on charges of aggravated animal cruelty by the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office in connection with viral videos posted on Snapchat of the two torturing and killing a raccoon.
Roddy Kincheloe, 63, and his daughter Alicia, 30, were arrested following an extensive investigation into the disturbing act which began on August 11, when Alicia posted a video of a raccoon inside of a dumpster. In the video, the raccoon is just sitting there and not showing any aggression towards either Alicia or her father.
And seemingly for no reason, the next Snapchat video shows Roddy hosing down the dumpster with water as it appeared to have been set on fire just moments before filming. Alicia could be heard saying:
We just tossed his ass, who’s hungry.

And then she turns the camera to show the burned body of the raccoon.
The next day when authorities interviewed Alicia, she admitted to having made the videos and said she had been returning from lunch when she spotted the dumpster on fire. She said she and her father found a gas can filled with water and poured it into the dumpster when the fire flared up. Her father had also thrown a cigarette into the dumpster. When authorities were given the gas can, they could clearly smell the strong aroma of gas contents.
During the investigation, a witness came forward and told a contradictory story of what Alicia said had happened to the poor raccoon. The witness stated she had called Alicia about the video, and Alicia said her father had stabbed the animal with a pitchfork before leaving for lunch. When they returned and checked the dumpster, the raccoon was still alive, and that’s when they grabbed the gas can from their truck and poured it on the live animal and set it on fire.
Alicia then removed the raccoon’s charred remains from the dumpster to hide it from authorities.
Sadly, it was too late for the raccoon, but we hope the following video provides some justice for that innocent little animal who only wanted to find some food and was not a threat to anyone.

Alicia has been charged with Aggravated Animal Cruelty and Tampering with Physical Evidence. She was released on $3,000 bond. Roddy is charged with a single count of Aggravated Animal Cruelty. He was later released on $1,500 bond.
