Whale beached ashore near Trump’s Mar-A-Lago resort

UPDATE:

The 13 foot whale weighing approximately 1,500 pounds did not survive. The newborn sperm whale had no teeth and most likely became separated from its mother. The baby whale died around 9:45 Monday morning.

A necrospy is scheduled.

In Palm Beach, Florida, a whale beached itself ashore on Monday near Via Selva,  – not far from the president’s Mar-A-Lago resort.

According to the Palm Beach Police, officers and officials from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission have arrived at the scene. The whale has been reported still alive, but no follow-up information has been announced as to the whale’s chances of survival.
