In McAllen, Texas, no one stopped for Savie after she had been hit by a car on Thursday morning. Somehow she was able to crawl over to the side of the road where she collapsed in a ditch; dirt covering her life-threatening injuries.

When Rescue Dogs Rock NYC were called after Savie was discovered, the organization immediately arranged for the dog to be transferred to their partner veterinarian emergency hospital in McAllen.

“Her leg is degloved, chopped off, to the bone!”, Stacey Silverstein, co-founder of the rescue posted on Facebook. “This dog is dying! WE MUST HELP HER! We don’t know if we are too later, but we must try…”

Please note there are many homeless dogs running through the streets scavenging for food in South Texas. Tragically,  the majority of the dogs are severely neglected, injured and barely hanging on by a thread. Savie has a chance because Good Samaritans and rescue volunteers work together.

Many thanks to Rescue Dogs Rock NYC for their amazing work helping. Be the voices for those who cannot speak.

Updates will be posted as more information is made available. Her condition is listed as critical.

If not for Rescue Dogs Rock NYC, many dogs wouldn’t have a chance in Texas. I hope and pray Savie will survive and I hope and pray the POS that couldn’t be bothered to stop and help her never has a day of peace again!
