In Brockton, Massachusetts, authorities are asking for the public’s help finding the person responsible for a “senseless act” of animal cruelty. A bird was found Sunday, February 3, 2019 on Belair Street, in the area of Crickett Road and Rainbow Circle. Red, white and black pieces of material were attached to the bird using safety pins and sewing needles.
According to the Brockton Animal Control, pins and needles were inserted under the skin, into muscle and tissue over the bird’s entire body. More than a dozen safety pins and needles had been used. The bird was found alive and was taken to a local animal hospital for treatment. It is now resting comfortably in the care and custody of Brockton Animal Control.
